What you should know about goiter and nodules

Most of the time, no one gives a second thought to the thyroid — as it appears to be functioning flawlessly. However, what many people are unaware of is: even in a normally-functioning thyroid, problems can occur (for instance, in the form of a goiter and/or nodules). The sooner a mutation is recognised, the more successful the treatment.
